THE ORIGIN STORY
ONE FRIEND. TOO MANY OPINIONS.
It started
as a joke.
Growing up in Zimbabwe, Prince was drawn to ideas that brought people together and gave individuality somewhere to breathe.
Boogie Bangers began with his friend Tapiwa Mukoyi. Rap, R&B and whatever had taken over their playlists became Top 5, Top 10 and Top 20 videos. Friendly arguments slowly became a creative direction.
The lists opened the door. Interviews and artist showcases made the room bigger.

Another side
of the company.
DJing sits inside Boogie Bangers as part of the same creative world: reading a room, finding the right record and creating a reason for people to stay in the moment together. LIVE 001 became Street Run Club × Saunic, a Winnipeg collaboration built around movement, recovery, community and a set by Prince, with event support from Popeyes Winnipeg and Royal Sports Winnipeg.

Thank you to every artist, friend and collaborator who treated the vision like it could become more. Boogie Bangers may have started with music lists and questionable rankings, but it grew because people believed in the possibility.
